Damiana is a slightly bitter herb traditionally used to calm the stomach, and relax the mind and body. It has been used as an aphrodisiac. Rose petals are astringent which means they may balance tissue moisture. There is much folklore about roses and love. Licorice may soothe the throat, stomach and mucus membranes. It has a slightly sweet taste. Sweetener of preference may be added to this tea.
Cautions: Do not use if you are hypertensive, anemic, have a urinary tract infection, are pregnant or nursing. This tea may have a slight laxative effect.
